What is the Lost City?

Known as Teyuna, the Lost City is an ancient settlement hidden in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Its terraces, stone paths and stairways bear witness to a civilization that developed in these mountains centuries before the arrival of the Spanish. Today, the Sierra Nevada remains the ancestral territory of Indigenous communities whose cultures and traditions are deeply connected to these mountains. Reaching the Lost City requires a multi-day trek through spectacular tropical landscapes — an adventure that is as much about the journey as the destination.
